Available on DVD… This
historical 1984 live, BRITT SMALL & FESTIVAL concert on the Capitol Mall in Washington, DC, is the concert
that changed the career path of FESTIVAL, and opened the eyes of America, to a renewed patriotism. This concert was not just
for entertainment at National Salute II, it was actually the musical prelude to the famous, “Freedom Now”
speech by Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, Sammy L. Davis. And as history reveals itself 21 years later, the untold
story comes to light of how this concert, the “Freedom Now” speech, and the movie “FORREST GUMP” came
together in real life. We are taken back to November 10, 1984, National
Salute II to the Vietnam Veterans, and the dedication of the Three Fighting Men Statue, on the Capitol Mall in front of the
U.S. Capitol Building. Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, Sammy L. Davis, introduces “one of the most patriotic
bands in America, FESTIVAL”. The party begins with FESTIVAL “hooking” the audience with hot music, done
FESTIVAL style. Then BRITT SMALL enters the stage to a rousing “In America” and continues the party atmosphere
with comedy and more hot music. The massive crowd’s attention is captured, and the "live" POW issue
is brought to the surface with FESTIVAL’s original song “Missing", followed by a screaming version
of “Still In Saigon”, and a brokenhearted rendering of FESTIVAL’s, “The Wall". Followed by a
heroic FESTIVAL arrangement of “God Bless the U.S.A.”, with Congressional Medal of Honor recipients,
Sammy L. Davis, Gary Wetzel, and Al Lynch at center stage. FESTIVAL is now in complete control of the audience, the stage,
and the sound system, as the concert concludes with CMH, Sammy L. Davis, delivering his powerful “FREEDOM NOW”
speech. This historic DVD ends with an emotional, CMH Sammy L. Davis, telling the audience at the 2005 Skidmore Freedom Fest,
about how his “Freedom Now” speech, the 1984 BRITT SMALL & FESTIVAL Capitol Mall concert, and the “Forrest
Gump” movie, are all related in real life. Watch as history unfolds, and read the inside booklet of this DVD to
get the complete, untold, true story behind BRITT SMALL & FESTIVAL’s 1984 Capitol Mall concert, the “FREEDOM
NOW” speech, and “FORREST GUMP”.
November 1982, Britt made his first visit to The Wall in Washington, DC, only to find tense emotions and anger within
a thick crowd. Even though he knew that he and FESTIVAL could be arrested for demonstrating, Britt led his band members
through the massive crowd, to the apex of The Wall, and began singing "America The Beautiful". Sedating the anger,
Britt turned it into a positive healing dedication. Born from this action, was Britt's original and nationally
known award winning hit song and music video "The Wall". Lyrics written by Festival Family member, Lyle Zoerb,
music written by Britt Small and Ray Roth. Click on "The Wall" link below and watch
on YouTube as history unfolded and led Britt to become known as "The musical voice of America's
veterans".
You can have your own DVDs of the events that changed the course
of history! "The Wall"DVD, which includes a two hour concert of BRITT SMALL & FESTIVAL "Live
at the Lincoln Memorial" and/or the 1984 Capitol Mall concert. Available only on Britt's Music Therapy
Store page.

is
a true American Patriot. He is an American paratrooper, who served with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, in Vietnam. He
is also a disabled veteran, and his music is the “sound track” of the American veteran’s
life. For 28 years, he traveled the United States & Canada, with his 12-piece band, FESTIVAL, entertaining audiences
of all ages with their special brand of American patriotic music. In 1982, BRITT SMALL &
FESTIVAL played at the dedication of The Wall, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, in Washington, D.C. They returned to Washington,
DC, in 1984, to perform at the dedication of the Three Fighting Men Statue, in 1993, at the dedication of the Vietnam Women's
Memorial, and then in 1995, for the dedication of the Korean War Memorial. They are the only
group to stand on top of The Wall, and sing during National Veterans Day ceremonies. In their 28 years together, they released 18 albums, and traveled over two million
miles in their 1954 Greyhound Scenicruiser bus, performing from coast to coast, and border to border. Go to the "history"
